OMG! WHAT AN AMAZING WEEKEND! That is definitely the best way to sum up my weekend on sunny Vancouver island. I was performing with Brett at Sun Fest, on saturday and we both had so much fun. We went up on friday, and got there in time to see performers such as Jessie Farrell and Johnny Reid. Jessie was really good. I love her song "I Guess" and she has such energy on stage, which amazes me because I was exhausted from both the traveling and the heat. Johnny Reid....well Johnny Reid is Johnny Reid. He was just as incredible as last year when I saw him perform at Merrit, and even better. He has the most amazing stage presence and I just love how he dances with a lady in the audience during "Dance With Me" (Johnny if you ever read this for some reason, I have a request, dance with me next time :) ). And Brett really enjoyed himself too! Which I was highly grateful for because....well.... I'm still converting him to country music (he has twang issues) but I think he's going to complain a LITTLE less now when we're listening to JRFM in the car.
